Asian Bathroom Design

A Chinese Emperor may have a bathroom the size of the White House, while other Asians of ancient past may have a waterfall just for the sake of decoration. Of course it may apply to some countries with a hierarchy today, but any regular Asian, especially their bathroom designers would find the best of the East and West to give off a flourish of designs that can capture both worlds, especially on Asian bathroom design.

Italian Bathroom Design

The Italians, or the Romans during the days of the Empire have always been health-conscious people who enjoy a visit in the bath house. Of course, one of the largest bathhouses during that time was about 700 square meters, has an underground passage for slaves to serve the Patricians, and more than enough hot and cold water to satisfy their needs, among others. This was the start of earlier Italian bathroom design.

Basing the concept of history with today’s tasteful blend of old and new is something to look forward to. More than just a room to wash up and apply some makeup or after shave, bathrooms stemmed from Italian ideas never grow old.

The bath is the main centerpiece for any Japanese home, so much like the fireplace for any American. It provides warmth and a good sense of family bonding aside from the cleanliness it brings. For most people living in Tokyo, especially since floor space is a big commodity, there are those who are privileged enough to have at least a bath in their home while most people go to bathhouses. Japanese bathroom design is an influence of today’s trends.
